The narrator and the narrator's nephew, kyosuke, are on their way back to the house when they run into Mina and her friend, sakura. Mina is delighted to see the two of them, and she asks the narrator to join her on a tour of the town. The narrator agrees, and they go off to check out the "pillars" of the house. Mina asks the two if they can ask any questions before they go, and the two agree that they can. Mina says that the family tree is made up of "the head and the branch families" , and that it would be great if they could all look at the pillars to see how they're doing. They check the pillars, and Mina tells the narrator that she knows everything about Mina, including her fitness level, her state of the road, her shoes, and so on. She says that she can perfectly predict what lies ahead for Mina. The two laugh at Mina's ability to know so much, but the narrator says that he's only able to guess what's going to happen because he knows everything.
