The next morning, the mayor and his men discuss the town council meeting that has just taken place. The mayor says that he is jealous of the town's youth and straight-forwardness, but he is also aware that his youth and young appearance are not ideal. He wants to create an explacity nation, and he wants to stop the "two worlds" of the human and the demon worlds from coexisting. He tells the men that they need to "tune the seven pillars" and "make them disappear" . He asks why they didn't tell him earlier that he could sacrifice the demons. He says that his ancestors had prepared the sacrifices known as the "seven pillars" , but that he refused to sacrifice them because he did not want to be a part of the "demon world." He tells them that he will make the town "120 percent better" if he can convince the council that living in the "afterworld" is 100 percent better for the demons
