In this short scene, Ziggy tells the hermit that he'll make him feel better. He's going to use the ether to heal the atomizer, and he's got a message for the hermit: don't worry, it's not going to make you feel any better. It's just a matter of time before the ether kills you. Ziggy doesn't know what to make of this, but he does know that the ether isn't going to help him. He also knows that his sister, Rebecca, is in the ether, and that she's running away from him. The hermit is all, "Gee, it looks like Rebecca ran away from me a few minutes ago" , but then he realizes that this is just the beginning of a nightmare that's about to take over his life. The doctor says that if you're an average guy, you probably wouldn't wake up from a nightmare like this. But if you were a doctor, you'd know that this would cause a lot of mental scars, too. He points out that he has a psychological license, so he knows how to control his patients. He tells Ziggy to "clack" and "suck" and to stop doing this. Then he tells him to "shrike shiver all shiver" .
