Now that he's got his cat's leaper working, Alek realizes that he can use it to guess what a word is. He's going to write it down in a notepad and then hide it so he can't find it. He feels like he'll be able to control his own destiny, but he knows he can only do so for a few seconds at a time. He wonders if they'll ever be friends again, since they're traveling to their mother's house to get married. He also wonders if his mother will grant him one wish, and he doesn't want his friends to be more important than he is. Just then, a group of three guys show up at the house. They're looking for Alek, and they've been watching him closely. They say that they have a plan to get him out of the house, but Alek is too weak and pathetic to do it. They promise to kill him if he tries to escape. Alek says that he has a special antivirus shield on his machine so he won't have to go through the whole thing. He says that, if he needs to, he can just go back to normal.
