As the battle continues, Volger tells his servant that he cannot stand and mope for long. He knows that he can press on, and he is sure that his feelings will reach Valkyrie. He tells her not to touch her, and tells her that she is a symbol of his little rebellion. He says that he could have killed her, but he didn't because he has respect for her. He asks how she could make such many swords, and wonders why she made all of them. Volger says that all of his swords have been taken away, and that he gets to grind up the daughter of Madame Kurenai. He then asks how he beat the warden while he was tied up.
