We learn that the professor and his band of conspirators are in the future, and that they're looking for a place to hide. They're running away from the professor, who's been stealing money from them. The two young men run away, and the professor tells them that he's dead. They don't know what to do, but they do know that they can't figure out what's wrong with the professor. The young men are confused by the professor's behavior, and they wonder if they'll be able to find their way back to their own time.
