Back on the ship, we find Eno's brother and sister still inside the ship's cockpit. They're still using their ether jammers to recharge the cannon. The cat crow is still moving slower than the main cannon, but Eno is still able to use his regeneration power to destroy the cat's power source. He tells the cat crow that he's cured him and that he can now use his power to regenerate the universe. He's pretty sure that if he doesn't kill the cat, he won't be able to do anything about the rest of the ship. He says that if they don't leave, they'll all be roasted, and he'll have to take care of everything else. He also says that he knows that killing the cat isn't what Eno wanted, because if he didn't, he'd never have been able to save his sister's life. So, he says, he will erase everything that's in the way of the cat. He figures that if the cat can't destroy the core of the cannon, he can at least erase all of the armor on the back of the beast's body. He uses his data link to track the exact trajectory of the main gun. He knows that the cat is going to attack, so he figures that they've hit their dead end. He wonders why anyone would lose to their old self, and his leg is dead.
