Everyone's back on board the ship, except for Dr. Nemo and Nemo's daughter, who's off on a mission of her own. She's been waiting for her dad to show up, but he doesn't. Instead, he tells her that she's his daughter and that she should call him "daddy" if she wants to. He's not a bad guy, he says, because he's the one who was abandoned by his wife, Rachel, when she gave birth to her daughter. Rachel's a good mom, she says, and her daughter is a good daughter, too. They're both very, very different people, but they share a lot in common: they've both been abandoned by their wives, and they both want to find their fathers one day. They don't know what to do with themselves now that they're back on the ship.
