About This Chapter
Elsie tells James that she's going to take him back to her father's house, where she'll be reunited with her friends. James is all, "Oh, yeah, we're going to get her back." He's got a message for Elsie: "We're taking her back!" Elsie's not buying it. She tells James to chill out, because they're getting ready to rumble. She's also got a warning for James: "You don't know who you really are, you poor, pitiful sheep." She tells him that if he hadn't done what he did, she wouldn't have lost her family, her friends, her eye, and her mind. She also tells him, "I abandoned that name a long time ago, you traitor, to the father land." James says, "That meaningless nation is where I lost everything. Because of your treachery." He tells Elsie that he would have made the nation a better place with his faith in justice. He tells her that he told everyone about the government's misdeeds because he was too young and inexperienced to know how powerful it could be. Elsie says that she and James will get married when they grow up, but that their parents decided to get married so that their kingdom could absorb theirs. James says he'll kill Elsie if she tries to finish what she started.
