In this chapter, we learn that the alchemist is using his ether gear to transform glass into water. He tells us that he's going to have the alchemist stay with him for a while, so that he can work on his alchemy. He wants the alchemist to have fun with the woman, but he also wants to make sure that he doesn't try to kill her. He's under some kind of "payback orders" , and he wants to keep the alchemist from killing her. The wind is so strong that it's impossible for him to get near the alchemist. The alchemist says that the wind is like a "different person" and that he won't allow anyone to get close to him. He threatens to cut the wind out of his hair.
