In this chapter, Shmoop introduces us to a bunch of new characters. First up is a guy named "new friends" , who's kind of like a super-villain-y version of the guy in the first chapter. Shmo is super excited to meet him, since he's a "new friend" of sorts. He's also super psyched to meet the guy who rescued him from the dungeon, and who was kind enough to help him clean up the ship after it was destroyed by the monster . Shmoo is super stoked to meet a new friend, too, since Shmo's super psyched about the fact that he'll be able to find out more about the monster's identity when he finds out who he really is.
