"Hot Day with a Broken Air Conditioner" is the title of this chapter. It's a reference to the fact that we're in the middle of a hot summer day, and the narrator is having sex with his childhood friend. He's not sure what the outcome of the sex is going to be, but he's sure that he'll have sex with him no matter what. The narrator says that he won't ever leave his friend, and he swears to do so no matter how much money he makes or how much sex he has with his friend.
