"Hot Day with a Broken Air Conditioner" is the title of this chapter. It's a reference to the fact that the narrator has been having sex with his "sweaty childhood friend" , a girl named "Morita" . She's now a graduate student at the university where the narrator went to school. The two of them plan to have a game of "king" where everyone draws a stick and tries to kiss the other person on the cheek. If the person who draws the stick doesn't kiss their partner, they're going to have to get a "special rule" and have to kiss that other person's partner in order to be considered a "couple mission" from their lover.
