It's hot outside, and the narrator is having sex with his "sweaty childhood friend" , i.e., the narrator's college roommate, iida. He's not sure why she didn't tell him about the trip they're planning to take over the weekend. The two of them decide to go for a walk in the hot springs. The narrator is bummed that he can't talk to iida about what's going on, but he's happy that they'll have a chance to talk about it later.
