The elder Shu tells the young man that he has a trump card which can counter the evil of the soul clan. The young man gambles and realizes that the energy of the blood tide has dropped so low that it is impossible for him to absorb it. He tells the teacher that he is proud of his skill in alchemy and that he will use this skill to rescue him. The teacher tells him to find his old friend and rescue him along with him. He says that his score with the clan will never settle until one of them is dead. The old man replies that he would not dare to teach a lesson to a young apprentice just because the old man thinks highly of the young apprentice's skill in feng alchemy. He adds that the disciple of hiss, whom he has placed so much hopes on, will also be able to help rescue him from the clan. When the elder Shu asks if the girl wants to stay, the girl says that she has to go on a training course and that she does not want to stay too far behind. The elder Brother tells him that the ancient clan is so powerful because they are the only ones who fear the devil soul.
