The group has been chanting the Chief's soul for 45 days, but the Chief is still resisting. They must not let their guard down. The Chief has been holding onto his soul for 49 days. They will take his soul today. Everyone is worried that the ants have been let into the hall. The ants are there to spy on them. The voice of the Chief says that they have let the ants in because they have been waiting for the Chief. The Ant Queen says they have dealt with the small fry in the hall and that the Ants must have come to see the Chief since he has cut off his hand. They are here to welcome the guests and the voice says that the Chief has fixed his severed hand and that they are trying to cut it off again. He tells them to leave the severed hand to him and to go in to save his master. He says that he is leaving it to them all and that he can finally get exercise. He is angry at the Bastard who stopped him from seeing his Master.
