In this short scene, zhivin tells his daughter that he has a lightning rod and that he can use it to move the heavens. He also tells her that if she doesn't resolve the problem with her grandson, he'll die. Worried that her grandson is going to die, she tells him to hurry up and get after him. Ignoring her advice, he tells her not to worry, because the hong-tian clan is nowhere near as powerful as the central plains. He then tells her to get after chen-er, because he's already killed him with the blood seal of his wind-lightning pavilion. Unsure of what to do next, he asks her to take care of the matter with the thun-ling clan. She tells him that she's going to tear him to pieces. She also tells him not to make any more trouble, because his spiritual imprint in his ring is already wiped out.
