About This Chapter
The next morning, the boy is still crying. He's been out of the house for three days, and he's still not able to communicate with his master. The boy begs his master to open the door and let him in, but the master refuses. He tells the boy that he'll forgive him for stealing his gift money when he was six, five, and seven, and for peeking at a love letter he wrote to his sister when she was four, but he won't pay for the vase that he broke when they were little kids. He says that it's useless to do things like that, and that he doesn't want to ask his son to pay him for his gifts. He also says that his master's collection is so rich that he needs to find a way to restore his spiritual energy. He asks where his master is, and the boy tells him that the master is gone. He then says that he owes him a lot of money for his work on the medical pills that he made for his master, and now that he is dead, he can no longer work on them. He blames his son for being a trash, and says that if he had been dead, his master would have been able to defeat him. But the boy says that the snake emperor was able to do the same thing to him when he showed the destructive skills and went into a coma. The snake emperor wouldn't have killed him if he hadn't shown the destructive skill, and so the boy blames him for losing his dou-qi. He claims that if his master had just killed him, he would have trained all over again, and his life would be mine. He adds that his life is mine now, and if he dies, his life will be mine too. This is nonsense, he says, because his master gave him the map of the earth and the seeds of the lotus, which are supposed to help him restore his soul.
