This is a locked chapterChapter 78: Past and Future
About This Chapter
The narrator returns to the beginning of the story and tells us that he has a dream in which he imagines that he is in the middle of a long night. He is dreaming of the past, and he realizes that even though he has lived a thousand years, he has lost a great deal of time and blood. He also imagines nine dragons pulling a coffin along with him. The narrator recalls that the sky is full of the nine colors of the sky, and that the students have traversed time. The students have been separated from their families for four years, and their families have been feuding with each other for the past four years. One day, a companion takes on the corpse of a tiger, and the companion's hair burns red, and his face flushed. He says that he will look back on the past and regret the mistakes he has made. He thinks that if he had not touched the tiger's body, he would have lived a life of escape and death, but now, he thinks, those things have become commonplace. He feels that the world belongs to the devil, just like the two tigers. The two tigers have grown wings and become heroes in their village, but for him, he still has to work harder to save the man.
