Back in the jade pool, Gu and the others talk about how terrifying it is to live in this world. They see blood everywhere, and they feel like a wild force is trying to tear them apart. They go back to the source stones to find out what they've seen. They can't figure out what's in the biggest one, but they're sure that there's some kind of magical force inside it. They're going to have to leave the place right away.
