The narrator tells us that the smell of the saintess must have been the one he smelled when he was a child. He says that he once came so close to touching the holy woman, but that it made him lose control of his emotions. The narrator says that his grandfather once asked him what his dream was, and he told him that it was a dream of his grandfather's. When he heard it, he was happy, but his grandfather could not turn it into a reality. He tells the narrator that his dream is that he sees the woman he has been dreaming about. If the woman finds him out, she will tear him apart.
