About This Chapter
In this chapter, we learn that the warriors are on their way to conquer the sacred mountain range, which they have circled around nine mountains in order to do so. The elder tells us that an hour ago, the skeletons were cursed. The horsemen were stripped of their flesh, turned into bones, and so on. When they entered the sacred land back then, everyone was younger than those who had eaten the fruit. This means that if they come close to the skeletons, they will die. Six thousand years ago, another group of ancient warriors also came to the mountain to look for treasure. They were wiped out, and turned into the skeletons they see today. This must mean that Crazy Old Man witnessed that incident. The warriors are afraid that they are going to die, and they have to figure out a way to leave the mountain safely. They have been missing each other for three years, and the elder tells them that they should meet privately. The old man says that he has missed them so much that he never thought they would get to meet again. He tells the elder that they will all die together, and that he will think of something to protect himself. He asks the fan to ignore him and come with him instead. He says that they might be able to save themselves from the dangers on the mountain, and he asks the elder if he thinks he is saving them. He also asks if they are planning to fight him, and if he is at god's bridge realm.
