In this chapter, we learn that the strawberry head, who we first met at the beginning of the book, is now the rightful heir to the Barzesa family. He is taller than the other members of the family, and he can control iron in his blood to form weapons like a metal blood blade. He wants to be the leader of the clan, too, and when he becomes the leader, everyone will eat canned meat for a month. He says that he will teach everyone how to use their blood blade powers. He also says that a new member of the tribe, a wies member, has joined the family and is happy to be a part of it. He soon gets along with everyone, and there are fewer questions about who he really is. The only problem, he says, is that there are evil spirits everywhere, and they will not bite him or his family.
