In this chapter, we learn that the virus has contaminated the entire world, and that the purge group has failed. The true ancestor of the barzesas appeared 132 years ago, and the records officer hoped that she would change her attitude of waiting. However, time passed quietly. The records officer made a false claim that they were barzesa, preventing rebellion, the noble family of the stars, and saviors of the future. They were able to maintain their superficial happiness for the past 50 years. Two human survivors accidentally woke up the sleeping ancestor, and were killed by records officer. He took their genes, modified them, and created tail-end and apu, which the true ancestor lost his mind. 9 years ago the utterly insane ancestor somehow returned to the colony, but was killed by a records officer who had the ability to destroy a part of the colony. The scientist who has placed his hope in the group says that the scientist is just hurting innocent people, and he will continue until the day he shuts himself down and disappears. He says that he will not succeed until everything the group has left for him is gone. He tells the scientist to give him his hand, he will be a little drowsy after having the vaccine, which is made of a special serum. It looks weird, he says, but it is really a bad with needles.
