The water is rising, and the floor is falling. Apu and the tail end are trying to catch the rope, but they're too far away to do so. They can't, because the water is too high. They're not sure if they'll be able to make it to shore, but Apu says he'll wait until they get to shore. The water's too high, he says, and they've just gotten sucked into the water. They don't have any blood in it, he tells them, so they can go first.
