About This Chapter
Dr. Bledsoe, the doctor, is in a bad mood. He's worried about what the future will hold for him and his patients. He wants to make sure that he doesn't get into any more trouble. He also wants to be sure that the future isn't going to turn out badly for him. He has to prove that he's not a bad doctor. He needs to prove to the rest of the universe that he can be a good doctor and not just a bad one. He can't just go back to the doctor and say that everything's fine. The only thing that's going to make him happy is if he can prove that the doctor is wrong. Dr. Lockwood, the dentist, is also having a bad day. He feels like he has a toothache, and he'd like to know what's wrong with it. He tells Lockwood to open the can and bite down hard, because it's painful. He says that if he hadn't done so, he would have drowned in the river. Lockwood says that he wouldn't have even known that he was a bad dentist if he had not given him both artificial respirations . He wonders why he didn't know that. He thinks that he wasted his time on an idiot like Lockwood. He asks Lockwood to hold the red head down, and Lockwood says he'll try to do so as long as he can keep it out of his mouth. He then asks Lockwood if he should use magic in front of other people in the future. Lockwood wonders if he knows that magic is too powerful to be used against people. He reminds Lockwood that he, Lockwood, and his true ancestor met in his time. They traveled through time, and they saw a giant wheel
