Three months have passed since the events of the previous chapter. A meteor shower is passing overhead, and Silver Sands is shocked to see the corpse of a dead evil spirit. He is also shocked to learn that his brother has killed many more evil spirits than he himself. Silver Sands explains that he was separated from his fellow humans and that he is now alone. He asks Silver Sands why he is cold and indifferent to him.
