The Neu-Stra flagship fleet is on the ground, and the men discuss the state of the operation. The original plan to drop all of the ships on the way back to Earth has been scrapped. Instead, the fleet will enter the current orbit, which will increase the chance of the drop ships reaching the surface. The men are glad to see the earth they've lived on for so long, and they're glad to be able to see it again. They're also glad that they were able to attack the enemy' home base while they were still alive. The engines are now on, so the men are counting on them to keep them going. They can't keep the engines on, though, because the engines are no longer stable.
