The next morning, Hirokazu tells the captain that the enemy has taken the control room. The captain tells him to send him blueprints of the building so that he can fix the damage. He also tells him that he should open the main shaft and lead the enemy down to the hangar 90 instead of the main reactor. He says that he'll tell the captain to shut the reactor down in person, but he won't tell him to do it in person because he's getting too far ahead of himself. He's not going to let them do what they want, he says. He tells them to start with the enemy on the joints, and then he tells them that they're going to have to eat the last meal of their lives. He orders them to go to mander and report back to him when they get back. He then tells the lieutenant to send the estimates of the time to him, and he says he will come back after he hears back from everyone. He asks the captain what's going on in the hangar, and the captain says it's all a bunch of beer and detonations. He doesn't understand why they've broken the timer, but then he realizes that they don't really care about the mission. He thanks the captain for taking care of isuzumiya, and says he thinks the captain will make a better one than he ever was
