Kiuchi tells them that he is free to feel whatever emotions he wants, but he should always remember that his actions will have an effect on those around him. Kiuchagi asks Kiuchi why he sympathized with the rebels, and Kiuchi replies that it was simply "a matter of fate." Kiuchi asks why Kiuchi wants to stay in the world when he was already there, and he replies that he has no use for Kiuchi anymore. He tells Kiuchi that he knows she is just using him, and that he will never be able to return to the world where he was three years ago. He says that one day when the world is at peace, he hopes Kiuchi will go down to the ocean and see the sea. The three men talk about Kiuchi's strange behavior, which Kiuchi doesn't understand. He asks why he left his homework in his desk the day before, and the three men tell him that he can tell something he can do for him. They tell him to come on and tell them something, and then Kiuchi says that he was a good kid, and there's nothing to be ashamed of asking for help in times of trouble. He reminds Kiuchi to be careful on his way home, and says that someday, when he can look back at this and laugh, he'll be happy.
