The next morning, Haruka wakes up in the middle of the night to find that the enemy is advancing on the second barrier. He wants to know why they haven't sealed off the walls of the reactor. He's been trained to be a surface pilot, so he knows how to do it. He tells Haruka to shut the reactor down so that he can go to the control room and fix the problem. Haruka's not sure how to go about it, but he's confident that he'll be able to fix it.
