The group is now in the convent, and the Governess tells them to behave themselves. She tells them that the weather is getting warmer, and that everyone is getting better. The Governess says that there will be a big party tonight, but that if they keep drinking like that, they won't be able to go. She says that she was going to toast Alex for his elip, but he's already been drunk, and she wants to get him back to have some rest. She also says that Alex needs to be "taught a lesson" . She compares him to a spoiled child who used to come up to her knee when she was young. Now, she says, he looks like a "hewasnit drunk."
