The princess is in hysterics. She's been waiting for someone to show up at the gate of the palace, but no one has shown up. She wants to know what's going on. The bad guy comes in and tells her that the fire that killed her was actually a plan put in place by Alex to save her life. He was poisoning her through her food. Alex also left a prisoner in her place and set her chambers ablaze to protect her from being tortured. The princess thinks that Alex is a cold-blooded monster who should be ashamed of himself. She also thinks that he's hiding the truth for so long. She wonders if he'll ever be able to take down Macken.
