Hiroshi and Ruri set off to do the morning's exercise, but Ruri is too sleepy to make it on time. He tells Ruri that this is the first time he has missed a single exercise in ten years. He also tells her that they have to rescue a kitten that has been stuck in a tree. Ruri tells him that the woman in labor is about to give birth, and that she and the other man are about to collide. Hiroshi tries to cheer him up by playing a song that he wrote himself, but he cannot bring himself to do so.
