The next morning, Mr. Saitou and his wife go for a long walk in the hot springs of Chiba Prefecture. They're so happy to be back in the country that they don't even notice that they're in the middle of a summer vacation. Mr. Yamada, the other teacher, says that it's great that Mr. and Mrs. Yamada went on such a trip, because it gives them a chance to get away from the classroom for a bit. He also says that he's worried about getting caught in the "bug" that's sweeping through the school, and that he needs to be careful not to get sick.
