In this short scene, we learn that Hiroshi's teacher, Utsuchi, was once so good at his job that he was considered one of the best students in his class. Now, however, he has dropped out of college and is working as a waiter at the Hiroshi-run-a-love-hotel, where Hiroshi is staying. Hiroshi complains to his teacher that he has lost interest in his studies because he has been working at the hotel all day and has not been able to concentrate on his studies. He also complains about the fact that his homeroom teacher had high praise for him when he was a student, and that his teacher had encouraged him to go to college, but now that he's dropped out, he doesn't have the time to do so. He plans to start a campaign to get more customers to come to the hotel, and he says he'll give away free lube to anyone who wants to stay there. He says that he thought he was doing the "right thing" when he decided to open the hotel in the first place, and now he is ashamed of himself for being so happy to be alone with Utsugi. He tells his teacher not to misunderstand being with him, because he is mad at her for causing him so much trouble, and she says she's so ashamed of herself that she can't think of anything else to say.
