The narrator runs into his teacher, who introduces himself as Yuka utsugi. The two exchange pleasantries, and the narrator tells Yuka that he's going to go shopping with Takeuchi. He's bummed that he forgot his wallet, but he doesn't want to tell Takeuchi about it. He tells her to put whatever she wants in her basket.
