Back at the hotel where he was staying with his teacher, Elmire complains that her fever has gotten even worse. Elmire says that she'll have to take over her shift at night so that she can get better before work, but she can't take her exams because she has a slight fever. She tells Elmire that if she gives it to her, it will get better, and she promises to tell Elmire what she has to tell him.
