The next morning, hotaru and san commiserate over the fact that they ran into each other in the street. Hotaru says that he's sure he can find some proof of their relationship, but he doesn't think it's possible. He's also surprised to find out that the two of them have been living together since the beginning of the year, and that they seem to be father and daughter. They're back together, he says, because she managed to get the trust of the two men she's been hanging out with, and they're letting bygones be so that she won't be scandalized by her affair with hotaru. The two men are shocked to learn that hotaru has been living with a manager, and hotaru wonders why they don't just drop in and see what's going on. He tells them that he assumes that they'll never end their happy days together, because hotaru is unmarried and his parents raised her to be a woman.
