The chapter opens with a conversation between hotaru and amemiya, who are both in their mid-thirties. hotaru tells amimiya that he has just returned from a humiliating tour in which he was humiliated by his wife's refusal to marry him. Amemiya tells him that his wife is "clearly downtrodden" and that he is "such an idiot" . He tells her that he just picked up his wife at a bar the night before and that she is acting like nothing has happened at all. He also tells her about how hotaru is and how he is getting five girls at a time. Amimiya tells hotaru that he thinks that hotaru has been having some wild nights lately and that they are trying to get a "little foreign interest" in the boutique they are working on in Otosado. He adds that he does not think hotaru looks like he is having much fun, but that he cant say that he was having fun. The chapter ends with a soliloquy from yuuka, in which she says that there is no report card in love when you cant make progress
