The scene opens with a conversation between hotaru and yuuko. hotaru tells yuuko that he has been working at a restaurant for three months and that he is about to lose all of his weight. He tells her that he does not have much hope of success with his diet, but that he would like to see her before he leaves. He asks her if she is sure that she is really his friend and not his girlfriend. she tells him that she has been acting weird lately and that her skin is glowing from her diet. She tells him to go buy vegetables and eggs in the morning so that she can make some delicious looking food.
