The scene opens with Hiroshi's departure from his hotel. He has just returned from a business trip, and Hiroshi is eager to get back to his usual routine. He asks Hiroshi if he has found his "kind of love" . Hiroshi replies that he has, but that he is afraid to call it "love" because he does not want to hurt his feelings. He tells Hiroshi that he feels like he is walking in the "clouds" today, and that the world is "sparkling to it" , and he is sure that he will be able to "clean up this mess" with the help of Yuka's "sage advice." Hiroshi tells him that he and Yuka have made some progress in their romance game, and they are sure that they can "play it smart" this time around. He also tells her that the man he is talking to does not know about her "black marks," and he wonders why she couldn't have loved him without him. He wonders if hotaru and Teshima have "moved on" in their respective ways, and wonders if they never had anything to do with each other. He thinks that if the new man knows about her past, then he is bound to worry about her. He feels that she is healing all his senses at once, and she is "healing all five of his senses" at the same time. He believes that she has a "gift for these things," and wonders what the man is doing here.
