This chapter opens with a conversation between hotaru and chan. chan tells hotaru that he is worried that he and fujimoto are in love and that they are going out too much. He also tells chan that chan is worried because chan has been going out all this time and he is afraid that s/he will get rejected. He asks chan to share his romantic woes with chan so chan will know what to say. He then asks hotaru to come to chan's place for a "recharge." chan says that it is getting late in the day and that he has to go to his place. He wants to meet osaka, his roommate, for the very first time, but chan warns him that he smells of alcohol. He says that he wants to use this flour to make his way to her place, but he does not want to tell chan about his feelings for her because he thinks chan does not have "some standards." .
