"God vesse little mister hotaru" , the narrator tells us, is "light 63 no match" for a "himono age 24" . Hotaru asks the narrator if he can pencil him in while he's "swamped" at work, but the narrator says he doesn't have the energy to do so. He's sorry, he says, because he'd rather be "as wonderful" as everyone else says he is. The narrator asks if he has feelings for Yuka one last time, and the narrator replies that he does, but that things are taking a turn for the worse. He tells the narrator that he hopes he can find someone "like that one day" who will make him happy. He says he hopes to be able to find someone like him someday, because it's not fair that he can't be friends with Yuka because she's too perfect. Yuka replies that she can tell that hotaru is "too perfect" for her, and she says that she feels bad for him for being so perfect. She also says that he looks "freely carefree enough" and "comatose enough" in comparison to hotaru, who looks "deep down" and is "trying her" that way. She says she never puts in the effort to show hotaru how she feels, and that she'll be leaving for a month for business, so she can go on vacation. She asks if she can take a shuttle to Yuka's house, and he says he'll do it. He adds that he may envy people who are his "polar opposite" because they'll never be kind to him, even if they hate him for his "ugly" jealousy. He concludes by saying that spring finally arrived for him.
