The chapter opens with a flashback to the beginning of the previous chapter, in which we learn that the shogi-i club is planning to attack Shuri-Ishida's house. We learn that Shuri is a friend of Shuri's, and that the enemy is trying to get her on their side. The chapter ends with a discussion between Shuri and the other members of the club. Shuri tells the others that she has heard about the plan to attack her house and that they are here to help her. She tells them that she will leave Shuri alone, since she is against her principles to interfere with someone who is attached to her. The other members agree to the plan, and they tell Shuri that they want her to stop stealing the power of the smile spell from her friend. If she agrees, they will be able to get more students to support the plan. The two men agree to take their leave with the plan for now, and Shuri reminds them that he is the one who is doing the dirty work.
