The chapter opens with a soliloquy by Hiroshi, in which Hiroshi explains his feelings about the events of the previous day. He says that he had a "bad feeling" about the way things turned out, and he wants to know why his friends had fallen under the spell. He asks her why they erased his memories, and she tells him that he is wasting his time by being alone. She asks him if he would like to be the next president of the club, and Hiroshi replies that being president is a great opportunity, and that he knows that his friends have reversed their roles and become friends with him again. She then asks him what he plans to do from now on. He replies that he will go back to his friends, but that he does not want to be a part of their club. She tells him to be easy with himself, and says that even if he goes back to them, he will not be welcome there. He then asks her if she wants anything from the club; she says that it is up to the club president, Shiraishi San, to decide what to do. She says that she knows that the rest of the members prefer one color to the other, but Hiroshi says that there is no way right. He tells her that the best ice breaker in the world was awful, but he wonders if it was because of the dry material of the men's clothes. He wonders if he should wear red or white under his clothes, but she says it is the style, not the color, that makes him want to wear it. She also says that 80 percent of the world is excited about trivial things, and it is this that makes her feel
