The group has no choice, they say, but to let the student join if she is willing to undergo "strict training" in order to do so. The chapter ends with a picture of a rock hanging from a string hanging from the clubroom ceiling. This rock is a gift from the student, who says that he will show the group the next time he shows them the rock. The clubroom is a mess, the students say, because it has not been used in a long time. The students ask one of the club members, Yamada, why she is joining the club, and she says that she is interested in the club because she wants to learn more about it. The other club members are shocked, because they know that Yamada has been cleaning the club room for a while, and they assume that she has left to join the club. They ask Yamada if she would like to take the club notice form to submit to the president, but she refuses, saying that the president will not allow her to go.
