The chapter opens with a conversation between Hiroshi and Futaro about Hiroshi's upcoming labor day. Hiroshi asks Futaro if he'd like to go on a tour with him. Futaro says he doesn't know what to do with his day off, so he's not sure what he'll do. He asks Hiroshi if he wants to go for lunch at a restaurant, but Hiroshi says it's too expensive, so they'll have to go to a spa instead. He also asks if they can have an overnight room, which is a rarity in the spa scene. He tells Hiroshi about the great bridge that connects Shikoku to Honshu, the largest island in the Japanese archipelago. He's glad that Hiroshi liked the bridge so much that he bought it for himself. He then asks if Hiroshi has any other things he wants. He wants to buy a pair of shoes for himself and his girlfriend, but he can't figure out which pair to buy. He finally decides to buy one for Hiroshi.
