In this short scene, Shmoop meets up with his mom, who is late for her parent teacher conference. He tells her that he's late because he forgot to change into his lunch clothes. He asks her if she's ready to meet her daughter, Sakurako, who's studying at the university. She's not sure where she'd like to go to school, but he says he'll let her know where he thinks she should go. He also tells her he'd love to make her his wife, since he thinks that's the way she'll act if he marries her . Shmoopers, mom, is all, "what's up with that?" . She says that she has plans to meet with her daughter later that night, but Shmooper doesn't know what to say. He says that his mom is "amaz ing" , which means that she is super-energetic. Shmopers asks if they can meet after the end of the school day, and his mom says they can, but that they'll need to change out of their pajamas before they do. He then asks if he should major in school, and she says he should because he would probably want to do so, too. She also tells him that he can buy her dinner if he wants, since she've been busy lately. He's happy to see her, and says he can eat by himself, since it's too late for him to eat with his friends. He wonders why they don't order pizza, since they're watching a scary movie together.
