In this chapter, Ruriko and the other students discuss the lack of new recruits for the upcoming academic year. They discuss whether or not they will be able to go abroad during the winter break. They also discuss how lucky they are that they are members of the university's traveling club. Ruri says that he would like to go to a foreign country if he suddenly decided to do so, but that he will go anywhere if he is with Ruri. He says that even though he is angry, he will not stop thinking about how lucky he is to have Ruri as a friend. He asks if he can stay at Ruri's house for a few days, but he is late for his third class.
